Action Programs for Youth

“I’m impressed with methods used  to connect students to the message”
Fort McMurray teacher, 2007

LSF’s youth forums offer hands-on, skill-building workshops delivered by community leaders about local environmental, social and economic issues. The youth forums act as a springboard for students to develop and implement their own action projects within their school and community. Teachers are also provided with the resources and skills they need to integrate local sustainability issues into their classrooms.

Elementary Schools: EcoLeague Forums

Developed in partnership with Cadbury Schweppes Company, EcoLeague is LSF's elementary school-level youth action program. EcoLeague emphasizes learning and action around local environmental sustainability issues

Secondary Schools: Sustainable Communities Forums

Sustainable Communities Forums challenge middle and high school students and teachers to engage in a comprehensive range of local sustainability issues.
