Kids World of Energy Festival
On Tuesday LSF attended the Kids World of Energy Festival, put on by TREC Education at the Brickworks in Toronto, Ontario. We did workshops with 5 grade 5 classes around the importance of energy conservation. The students actively discussed issues associated with energy consumption, and then did audits of small appliances using watt meters. The thing that everyone seemed the most interested in was vampire/phantom power!!
Thanks for everyone who attended! We had a fantastic time and hope that the students who did our workshop go back to their schools and home, and create action plans for reducing their energy consumption.
